De Profundis Performance at the Quarai Ruins
Manzano Mountain Art Council is sponsoring the annual performance by Albuquerqueʼs a Capella Menʼs Ensemble on Sunday, September 15th, at 3:00 p.m. at Quarai, one of the Salinas National Monuments.
The amazing remains of this church built hundreds of years ago, provide
wonderful acoustics for this exceptional group of singers, directed by David
Poole. Their program will feature “Songs of Longing and Return”.
Patrons are asked to bring their own lawn chairs, and arrive a little
early to allow time for settling in before the performance. Quarai is located
just off NM Highway 55 in the town of Punta de Agua, about 10 miles north
What a wonderful way to spend an Indian summer afternoon! The
event is free to the public, and will be moved to Mountainair Elementary
School Gym should it rain.
And the Mountain View Telegraph has an even bigger weekly calendar of events!
